pause button to nothing by Matthew SharpNothing can exist
Clouds of infinite mist
The mirror pieces twist
Reflection in repetitive direction
A toy collection in the void
infection employed
Contaminating my soil
My dirt dripping oil
Evaporate and boil
Procrastinate disastrous fate
no wait/weight for being
I love what im seeing
Let them suffer vehemently
Its sort of a dream to me
Lean with me
While the bombs turn the grass
I know one day we can live again
Find a friend the blindest men
Women and children
Were just gonna kill them
Not ‘me’
I love all I see and all I don’t
Vision swallows itself
And these words are a shell
A temporary spell
To communicate the well
The black hole
I live in has already give in
No longer choked with formation
The mirror shatters in frustration
Cant find its animation
Find another something
My pause button is nothing
Practiced collapsing
Omniverse retracted
It never happened 03/16/2019 Posted on 03/16/2019 Copyright © 2025 Matthew Sharp

Posted by Glenn Currier on 03/16/19 at 03:01 PM but the very idea of a pause button while drifting or plowing through the day may be the soul trying to say stop and take a breath before you run headlong into death. I told a friend the other day that rap is not my most favorite musical form, but its gift, your gift is to freely, liberally sprinkle rhyme and beat into a poem like pollen flying in the air of spring. Thanks so much for this Matthew. |
