Prophecy by Chris Sorrenti
Upon the road
The piper had chosen
Far away in some distant land
I met an oracle along the way
He told me freely of many things
And although I had seen his face
For only a few seconds
Realized I had met this stranger
In different guises
At varying ages
Many times before
Now old and grey yet of youthful energy
I’ll never forget what he had to say
Yes my son
The world is turning
Turning faster every day
Many things you will come to question
But in the end much more you’ll say
The things he said were only half way clear
Yet for some strange reason
I could not doubt him
For in his eyes I could see the wisdom
In his words were the kiss of steel
And so it was he warned me clearly
Use that knowledge as if holding a baby
But if sometime your life is in equinox
And a pawn of Satan blocks your way
Then use that knowledge and sword
As if it were a lion
For it shall defend you
As if it had been your life-long friend
Oh yes my son
The world is turning
Turning faster every day
Far ahead on this road you must travel
And many dragons you will have to slay
