Of Scottish Fame by Brian Francis
I found myself quite thirsty riding in the country
So, I stopped at a small store to buy myself a drink
A cabinet full of sodas filled with liquids of all colors
I pondered my decision but as I began to think
I felt a prodding elbow and a voice began to coax me
“Just grab yourself an Irn-Bru it’s the best in all the world
The orange bottle with the blue I there in the center
With that I turned and asked him what was its flavor
He said it tasted wonderful a unique collaboration
Of naturally good components making up this tasty drink
Not wanting to be rude I said okay I think I’ll try it
I grabbed myself an Irn-Bru my world about to change.
The flavor was delicious it had the certain chutzpah
That sweet delicious flavor near erotic in its effect
I came to understand the gentleman’s hesitation
For Irn-Bru has that specialness that umami thing
It needs its own special word thought out not in haste
Then it came upon me it had that word already
If asked its flavor simply say that special Irn-Bru taste
