when words fail by Melissa Arel
When words fail, will you know how I feel?
Will the shy rosepetal blush
or my soft tender touch
speak to you?
I could write novels with just one look
with every kiss
fill pages of a book.
I could recite poetry
with a single embrace,
do you hear me when you see my face?
When words fail, will you know how I feel?
My love, just hold my hand
and then you'll understand.

Posted by George Hoerner on 08/09/18 at 04:43 PM You are right! Words do fail sometimes express our feelings. We use too many or too little or the wrong ones. Words never quite seem to express what two lips properly placed can do. Enjoyed the piece. Hope all is well! george |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 08/13/18 at 02:04 PM As necessary as words are to convey what we think and feel, they leave much to be desired when we wish not words but real reaction to the way we genuinely feel about those whom we love and would that they love us in return not necessarily with words to convey that love but through the action of love which is where the real value is. |
