Diplomatic Carnage

by Chris Sorrenti

I love him
And I hate him
For all the right and wrong reasons
A side effect of his
Setting the world on its ear

A global buffoon
As vilified in Trafalgar Square
But sly like a fox
Never underestimate him

Plausible denial
Taken to a whole new level
Two faced? Perhaps
Or just a part of his game
In making the deal

Every day
A new chapter and crisis
Stay tuned folks
The show ain’t over yet

Author's Note: Written in about 15 minutes...just now. Sometimes it’s best to let things simmer for a short while at least, however this one started writing itself with the onset of you know who flying to Europe last week.
