White Noise

by Chris Sorrenti

Sometimes
I like to imagine aliens are reading my poetry
viewing my photography
whether stationed here on Earth
or in high orbit
nodding their heads saying
yes here’s a guy we can work with

I like to see myself as white noise

And Lord knows
as if we don’t all make enough of it
with tweeting and twerking
text messaging and cell phoning
over family dinner with headphones on
no less

I like to see it too as white noise

I know I know
I’m one of the noisiest organisms on the planet
and although some of what I say
sounds negative even crazy
truth is it’s all meant to be positive
educational
spiritually empathizing
to bring the other souls on this planet
closer together

I like to see us all as white noise

Interesting way of thinking about the unity of us. I wonder about it, still with doubts about the persistence of individual personalities after this life. Sooooo... maybe your way is a good one... thanks Chris.

Oh my days - totes, and what? (Interference from streamers on the event horizon).
Good acoustics and work ethic Chris.
