Judo by Nancy AmesThe old one spoke:
"The strength of your opponent,
his heart, his muscle tone,
his energy and talent,
he`ll use against his own.
Control his information,
he never will suspect
his final destination,
you smile and break his neck." 05/27/2018

Posted by Glenn Currier on 05/28/18 at 04:03 PM Couching this in the advice of a master gives it a cool and entrancing dimension. You had my imagination and memory going to every karate or judo movie or tv series I've ever seen. But that last line snapped me out of my reverie. You efficiently describe both the light and dark side of the martial arts. Thanks for your clever, jolting poem, Nancy. |
