Rituals by Brian Francis
Stand before the house of God
Bow your head and step across
rituals remembered within our hearts
case in point the sign of the cross
at the door, we reach for blessed wet
we cleanse our souls with holy water
we genuflect, showing God respect
whether we are his son or daughter
Praise His name adore His works
give unto Him your everything
trust in Him no matter what
the Creator, the Savior and the King
Lay all of your burdens at his feet
his will be done – a gift of love
reflect good will to all you meet
with actions honor your God above
Raise up in song your praise to Peace
and humbly take the wafer and wine
kneeling, reach deep within – set free
Your heart is healed your soul is fine
praise His name and honor Him
His power is pure His love complete
He is your support on the darkest night
His light will shine to all you meet

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 03/19/18 at 03:37 PM Our Quentin would have loved this. Perhaps this devotion is a result of that first Easter and all that came after for so many lives. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 03/19/18 at 08:06 PM I agree with Kristina. Worthy seasonal capture, Brian. |
