Dribs & Drabs by Chris Sorrenti
Dribs and Drabs
That’s how the story goes
Raindrops come together
Transform into rivers
That flow into the sea
The sky dumped a big load yesterday
But today there’s nothing new
Sometimes it’s more Drab
Than Drib
Or the other way around
That’s how the story goes
But no one really minds
They know the cycle by heart
What’s gone today is back tomorrow
Days of quiet dissolve into
Varying degrees of crises
Good and bad
Yet out from the panic
Rise new realities
Coming in
Dribs and Drabs

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 01/03/18 at 05:32 AM It is a clever way to talk about how things develop, ebb and flow, "dribs and drabs" an amusing innocent sounding little pair. Thanks for this, Chris. |
