Turns out, the earth is flat.
a lot of folks are saying that-
and science tells us otherwise
(but no one listens to those guys).

Turns out, the moon's a hoax
devised by sneaky, lyin' folks -
it's just a rotten way they've found
to falsely prove the world is round.

and dinosaurs weren't real
and evolution's just a thought
and homosexuality's an evil left-wing plot

and women are inferior -
their motives are ulterior,
their value, but exterior
to men, who are superior.

Turns out, the earth is flat.
Plain common sense will tell you that,
and heaven's up and hell is down
and good is white, and bad is brown.

And climate change is politics
and poverty's a choice.
Protest it all you want
but just don't ever raise your voice

'cause we like our peace.
We like our calm.
We like prosperity.
We like to feel that we're on top
the way that we should be.

Turns out, the earth is flat-
your logic cannot cancel that
so close your mind
and close your eyes -
accept the truth:
there are no lies

but only what we say is true -
we made it up to comfort you.
Relax yourself and go to sleep
and dream the dreams
of placid sheep.
