Our Turn to Shine

by Kristina Woodhill

In the presence of golden crocus
clustered in our front yard

spring's sun grounded and captured

no apologies
will be offered
for any extended overcast
you may be experiencing

as we accept this
glowing
glorious
garden
gift

I am so grateful for your words, Kristina. All that you write has dignity in it and beauty and meaning and this poem continues in that tradition. Always I feel nature and humanity in your work, and those qualities hold immense appeal to me.

I happen to be one of those who loves all four seasons. I grew up in Michigan and love to se snow on the ground as well. Although at eighty I'm not into the shoveling any more. Take care m'lady!
