Bears Repeating by Philip F De Pinto
I shall read
what shall be read
what you will heed
what is as yet written
what is as yet formed in one's head
as will have led a notion to spill its seed
onto the mind's folio
that most fertile of soil
That eyes may be smitten
that ears may be fed
what is as yet sowed and reaped
as to be viewed and heard
something quite pleasant or absurd
Hence - I shall have the quill dip
and sip in the mind's stream and siphon
and script
something of grit
or silken as nylon
to grace the gams of the eyes and ear
as to be made fit
for the view
what the tanker mouth
is most eager to take on and spill
and shout
what ears are eager to chew
Some phrase or other
that seem to blend well ( not smother )
together and boon
and leave room
for redemption - should their coupling spell doom
as would see them fit
to be edited from the script
which is as yet writ
before they are even viewed or heard
as would see them part
lacking heart
as would have it beating
and bear repeating
