You're one of them

by Johnny Crimson

We go coherent,
blazing like left over stars
through the maze of the evermore.

Silence makes due
as the belittled twilight
leaps over eyes and iris' alike
just to catch a glimpse of catastrophe.

You're serendipity defined,
not in a classical sense of course;
just add neo- in front of all your nouns.

Jamie's got sixpence
yet the cattle car is free.
It's always hilarious when the rich attempt
to pay their way into death.

I saw her lips
as we all stood in that silent death car.
As an old man fell from exhaustion in the corner,
I saw her lips curl into a smile and then, I knew.

Beautifully rendered

I've come back to this one often. It's haunting, great tension, S2 is so well constructed, and that startling ending so well done. Shivers, for sure. Thanks.
