Absentee Ballot by Kristina Woodhill
As the clock struck twelve
wooden cuckoo stilled
voting completed
counting long done
masks once again shuffled
about the big room
everyone tried one last spin
to disguise
that no one knew
who or what we really had won

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 10/26/16 at 06:11 PM Thought provoking read, Kristina. I figured something to do with the election coming up, and could indeed apply, but also spooky in its own right, just in time for 'all hollows eve.' |
