Road Kill by Chris Sorrenti
pigeon walking down the middle of the road
oblivious of the traffic whizzing by
headlights widen
too good to be true
grills stretching into a smile
sports car nicks off one of its wings
station wagon finishes the job
a few less windshields to wash
the automobile exacts ultimate revenge

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 06/03/16 at 07:08 PM A dark poem - the car wins, this time. It is odd how those birds can just assume - not the brightest bulb, for some reason. Thanks for this unique take on car/bird relations. ;) |
