Fragile - Yes! by Chris Sorrenti
Every soul is but a ribbon
constantly pulled upon by
self...others...circumstance
twisted in all manner of direction
only so much tension
before the bow breaks
Every heart
an Achilles’ heel
and then there’s Love
the great Neutralizer
Equalizer
Healer
And then there’s Love

an Achilles’ heel" - loved this phrase and how you meld the physical body with the soul's journey. Thanks, Chris. |

Posted by George Hoerner on 05/04/16 at 09:31 PM I don't think the soul breaks all at once as the heart can. The soul breaks in chunks, some smaller and some larger. The heart can break all at once and may grow back. The soul loses a piece and keeps on going on a little weaker. Once the soul breaks we are either dead and buried or become the walking dead. Some times we open our eyes and even mouth and pretend we are alive by writing a poem or trying to. Others of us just walk, open our mouth to pretend to say something or eat a little to keep going. Some of us just sleep as much as we can. Take care! I love the poem and must send it to a woman I think I still love. |
