Visions

by George Hoerner

some people have them
some don’t
i see a vision of you now
a mature woman
even in your young picture

now your eyes
confident with knowledge
your smile beams
that same quality
while your hands
follow instructions with
precision and directions
behind it all is that mind

oh, of what has it dreamed
do the visions
from those younger years
still push to the surface
or somehow has it
been left behind

my own wish for you
is that some where you
let them rise again
let all your dreams
rush forward
and never be lost again

for life is made
of dreams
both real and sur

what you have
given me is priceless
a new chance at vision
to see the world

i’ll no doubt see you
again and again
let me see that vision of yours
and I’ll return to you mine

Lovely heartfelt composition George.

it seems to me, fair exchange, her visions for yours. as sharing and melding visions is the only way to run the course, as far as I can tell. bartering visions is the only way go, as hoarding visions to oneself is tantamount to not making any human sense.

Well, if I wasn't in like with you before, I certainly am now...and it is lovely to have fallen so deeply in like with you! I am smiling and re-reading...thank you for a beautiful write...lk
