Recall

by George Hoerner

I recall the time
When your lips
Were close to mine
And I recall
Little more
For as my lips
Approached yours
My whole being was
Shrunk into those lips
I have carried away with me
All that I could hold
Though you never came
With me as I wished
I still remember those
Very early times
They will remain
Part of my
Heart and soul
Forever

That first brushing of lips is so delicious, better than the indelible lipstick by far. You've sparked many a memory here, George. Thanks!

Ditto on the other comments, George. Well expressed, both nostalgic and passionate.
