The Right of Way by V. Blakethe road is slick
with gasoline
rippling out
from treads;
the windshield is
cracked,
the headlights
are black,
and it smells
like hospital beds.

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 10/05/15 at 08:10 PM Nicely expressed V. Reminds me of a recent accident in Toronto in which a grandfather and three of his grandchildren were killed by a drunk driver. The grandmother remains in critical condition in the hospital. |
