Cycling

by Keith D Allison

For those who know
the forging of metal
powered by the engine
of human flesh
the rhythm of the wheels
they can speak to the soul
the breeze upon the face
the dancing of the mind
pushing for its gold
whether caught in the morning rays
or in the fragrance of the evening light
each mile
captures
the glory of its song
