(To Be) Unwritten

by Alison McKenzie

It’s such a surreal sensation,
To be the character
Written out of
Someone else’s story.

(Screaming, she finds her vocal chords
Muted.)

(Sobbing, she finds her tears
Dust.)

(Disappearing,
She finds herself.)

Beautiful! And out of rejection, perfection is found.

Very cool construction and progression, Ali.

I think it's awesome that in the midst of tragedy, you're able to find yourself and where you stand.
