Cool poem Laura. Short and sharp as a haiku but different. We would like that sky to stay blue, but it's not in our power. I really like how you express that here.

Oh my dear darling most precious & brilliant in every sense of the word - a wordsmith without peer - a soul that lights up the universe.... this goes without saying so I said it anyway - but I am in the dark here ... I am not quite so bright - you know that ... I am quite the imbecile according to my older brother who also said that I was constantly dropped from a basinet high on a counter and that explains it all.. But what price what? I mean Haiku what's that? I don't know - I mean... OK, the sky is blue - but there is a price for the sunrise - the surmise of that blue sky that came before or the next blue? How much does a dark evening cost in today’s dollars... please Laura I love you to death - I always have ... I must be an idiot because you knew what you are doing so I will rate this higher than the sky on a three day coke binge -more vivid than that time I swallowed two taps of LSD - I was in a cemetery in NYC laying under a tree - I was 14 - I became the blood of that tree and the yard when on forever - memorable I should say so since I am having this ?? Haiku? tattooed on my butt and forehead - as far as flow - well I flow with the tide - there is some need for the tide that may have an effect on the sunrise and the blue but I would not know now - would I? So I think I am certain I shall give this piece of yours a 10 for beat and another ten for lyric beauty and the dance-ability that stems from all beauty ...
