Christ Came To Be Our Winter's Light

by Leonard M Hawkes

Christ came to be
Our Winter’s light—
Through sin and death
A beacon bright.
He knows, He blesses
Every need,
Beyond the cold
Now lies the Spring.

Alleluia!
Christ came to be
Our Winter’s light.

May this bloom
In metaphor,
Witness that
In Him—is More,
And may we now
As they before
Sing as one
And him adore.

Alleluia!
Christ came to be
Our Winter’s light.
