atmospheric reflections

by H.M Stevens

we are but gone to the moon
and back again, static
among stardust and endless
darkened clouds, our hearts
a soot filled creation, from the generations
of long life within short life
outgrown of adult suits, the compounds
of atmosphere, the leaf's veins tell us
we are but, conscious fractals
emotions, our god
the reincarnate manifestations
of a plea

i'd like to hold you little longer
imagine my life without you, waving throughout
invisible bright blue skies

"i'd like to hold you a little longer imagine my life without you, waving throughout that invisible bright blue sky" I have read and re-read those last three lines a lot. They write a story in and of themselves with which I'm quite familiar. Kudos!

Really like the tone of this one. Pure magic: the leaf's veins tell us we are but, conscious fractals emotions, our god

"our god the reincarnate manifestations of a plea" - loved this line. Have to agree with Chris about the magic feel to this. The poem expands and contracts. Also loved "our hearts a soot filled creation". Thanks!
