That goes

by Laura Doom

I understand there is something
to be said for saying nothing,
not only when there is nothing
to be said, but also when speech
projects a barrier to communication,
a wall of words upon which our epitaph
is hung.

So if and when you offer me
such advice, I will tell you
you should keep it
to yourself,
invite you to put
your lips to my finger
your head to one side
and your heart into neutral.

They say it is written
our souls burn in hell.

You are a pro with negative space - loved that title. As for the rest, it speaks just fine for itself.
