Librarian by Alison McKenzieI want to be immersed in you,
All of you,
Every one of my fibers
Knowing what
Every one of your fibers
Knows.
I want to feel as you feel,
See the world as you take it in;
I want to appreciate the world
Through your pores,
Know why you
Find beauty in a broken heart,
Why you sing,
Why you know joy
When you've stepped outside yourself
To assist another.
I watch you crave your purpose,
But it is an unusual exchange -
You are filled by giving.
While I, in awe,
Catalog each nuance,
Hoping to be your librarian. 01/23/2015 Posted on 01/23/2015 Copyright © 2025 Alison McKenzie
