The 20th Army by Chris Sorrenti
Will there?
Or won’t be?
He asks himself
For now
A General
Only unto himself
As he laughs
At the paradox
Besides
Who would follow
This littlest Napoleon?
Found in the grandeur
Of his own illusion
Everything
A woman could hope for
Except for
His frightening side
Esoteric size
Though he’s no longer interested
In any of them
For real?
Not!
He does need one
A General in her own right
To lead
The female forces
In a just cause
And she knows who she is
2015 and beyond
Beyond
The babies
Not babies
Waiting patiently
In their test tubes
Will there?
Or won’t there?
He answers himself
Knowing
This could be the last one
