Wanna buy me an ugly Christmas sweater
Like the ones they show on TV
Not too tame / not too gaudy
Something that reflects my own personality
Gets me and those around in the spirit

Gonna get me an ugly Christmas sweater
Saw a place advertising them on the internet
Down on the market right in town
On the second floor of an old building
Called Bang-On

Wanna try on an ugly Christmas sweater
They have quite a selection of colors and patterns
Any number of designs look
Unappealingly appealing
As a good ugly Christmas sweater should

Gonna pick out an ugly Christmas sweater
Something that has its own unique voice
But also fits the cliché description
They all look so good I’m tempted to grab two or three
But have to watch my Christmas budget

And seeing as I’ll be sporting it
Only once this year
Maybe never again if only a fad
I’ll happily fend off the teasing and jokes
Proudly wearing my ugly Christmas sweater
