Years have weathered away
The smile that this child once knew.
Crows haven't touched foot
To my face in some time -
Have left no markings
From flighty, fickle feet.
The dark days
Of years past
Have left my skin pale -
A lily white malignancy

Big fan of vampire poems. Worthy addition to the genre. Congrats on POTD!

Had no idea this was a genre of its own. Ha! Well, I've been out in the sun too long, I guess. Thanks for this! Great phrasing and images.
