Fey: The Mists of Morrow

by Alison McKenzie

I have been absent
From the once called magic,
The forest floors of moss
And lofty heights of
Mountain ways.

Lost to the sea of
Once-Love,
That decadent dip
Into radiant pools of proposal,
Momentary invitations
Now faded into
The Mists of Morrow.

I have gone missing,
The core of my soul and I,
My inner innocence
Quelled to hush
Wandering aimless
Among moment-blossoms,
Knowing neither hunger nor thirst,
Knowing neither direction nor intent.

Should you discover me, here,
I pray you
Bring me,
For without your voice,
I may be swallowed.
Aye,
Without your voice,
Forever lost to worldly sight,
Fade to vanish,
My magic and my heart.

There is a lovely melancholy to this. "I have gone missing, The core of my soul and I," Ali, may your magic reassert and your soul soar.

I know what it means, when you can't cease, find it next to impossible to stop loving somebody, and the result is this enduring melody, enchanting to say the least.
