Welcome to the rest of your life by Laura DoomYou know that you're in trouble
when X-stream becomes the norm,
a form of cursory submission
with compiled consent, a service
auto-rendered while you chill, and still
you really don't know what you're missing.
For the record, you've been data raped
no drug-fuelled hit, not bound and taped
just freaked by faceless phish on trips
that nybbled at your finger tips;
apocalypse in catachresis
disinvested, hacked to pieces.
It's gender neutral, culture free
endorsed by governments worldwide
a trove for trade and Treasury;
more viable than genocide
more easily deniable.
The minor laughing in your face
it knows your mind: Your mine, you're mine
and so it shafts you from behind
then extricates without a trace
of purity to vitiate that seamless insecurity. 08/16/2014 Author's Note: Yes, I am frequently confused.

Posted by David Maurice on 08/16/14 at 10:19 PM there is no comfort to be found in the dark layers of the ineffable, known affectionately as the Internet. Stop affirming my own niggling doubts about where we are going dammit! (don't actually, I am into this bent)
