A Piece at a Time by Joe Cramerit's a piece of my heart
that breaks away
as it did from the start
nearing the end of this day
I am forever lost
waiting on the time
whatever the cost
to make you mine
so much love I have to share
with you, this love in my life
so little time left to care
living among this self inflicting strife
I remain forever uncertain
as live flows past me
now as the lowering curtain
falls, and nothing more can I see 05/19/2014 Author's Note: ... recent angst, it forever surrounds me, though I am happier in so many other ways.....

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 05/19/14 at 01:20 PM I detect no angst here, Joe, but a beautiful ode, in so many ways relative to a human need to love and be loved. Is there any other reason to be alive than to seek to have such need fulfilled? |

Posted by George Hoerner on 05/20/14 at 12:31 AM I fear I have used up more than my fair share of love. All to often not recognized anyway near as it should have been. But sometimes we search for what is all around us and we can't even see it. Or maybe we just can't accept it. |
