Lent by Quentin S ClingermanLent is upon us
Aware of the events that brought it about
The Son of Man and Son of God
Love, forgiveness, righteousness
Beyond the Mosaic Law
Gave His life for mankind
Each individual may experience
Life beyond that Law and gain Eternal Life
Lent, a time to concentrate
What love means in living beyond the Mosaic Law
Living beyond the Mosaic Law fulfilled
At Calvary

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 03/05/14 at 11:01 PM Calvary I know about...Mosaic Law I don't. Time to brush up on my Catholicism...cathacism, though the main point isn't lost Quentin. Thanks for the well worded spiritual reminder |

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 03/06/14 at 02:29 PM A lovely ode, Quentin. Lent is a time of sacrifice. Hopefully we can comprehend such a message as has us laying down judgemental stones, which we would pounce on our fellow man and rather than toss stones with the hand that held the judgement, shake loose that judgement and extend such a hand as will shake the hand of our fellow man. That is what sacrifice means to me, something as severe as all that and not the giving up of something menial, like your favorite desert for a week. |
