Be Free by Tota LongmireIn my own way and in my own time
I have come to realize I am just fine.
“I am Me!” I want to scream from rooftops
And at the pinnacle of mountains’ drops.
I am not damaged nor broken nor wrong
Scarred perhaps but that just adds to my song.
I am different, but so is everyone else.
None of us are the same despite society’s tells.
Be like me.
Look in the mirror and not want to change what you see.
Then you will truly be free.
Stop listening to society.
Actually, don’t be like me.
Be like you. 01/13/2014 Posted on 01/13/2014 Copyright © 2024 Tota Longmire

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 01/13/14 at 02:11 PM this lovely ode rings truer than anything advice Ann Landers could ever dispense from her typewriter. |
Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 01/13/14 at 02:41 PM Clear message clearly stated. The real freedom I have found is being in Christ. Part of that is accepting the fact that God loves me. |
