Christmas

by Chris Sorrenti

See the
lights
wink
yellow
and
blue
from angel
hair
cascading
to the
tinsel
tips
of
evergreen

Time
for cashews
tourtière
ice cubes
melting
in a glass
of
cheer
as we
wait
for
turkey skin
to
crisp

Outside
a wet
snow
sprinkles
letting us
know
how
good
it is
to finally
be
home and
ready

Under the
tree
mysterious
packages
for
you
and
me
make sounds
delightfully
uncertain
when
shaken

Very nice how it moves quickly all the nice things Christmas has to offer. Well done Chris!

"...tinsel tips of evergreen..." "...sounds delightfully uncertain when shaken..." - my favorite ornaments on this Christmas poem.

One of the neatest thing about your library is that you share your older poems. I can't wait for Christmas 2013.

Pleasant memories, one of the pluses of Christmas. Written in a holiday attractive form.
