cannibal cattle

by Maria Francesca

we are bears building traps
and fish carving poles.

we are cannibal cattle
chowing down on six dollar burgers
on our way to the slaughterhouse.

we are slaves
rushing out to buy ball gowns
made of bloody cotton.

we are cashing our walmart checks
and spending them on walmart crap.

We shop as much as we can in locally owned stores. But one must admit if you shopping for some things it does pay to go 'walled' place. Unfortunately it is hard to find a place with less qualified workers.

You've got us pegged, Maria. Thanks for this.

Isn't this suppose to be one of the seven signs of the Apocalypse??? Seriously though, this is an excellent addition to that genre of human social pessimism, that repeatedly appears throughout history.
