SONG NO. 2

by W. Mahlon Purdin

It's high noon on Saturday
And I'm alone
As usual.

Strummin' this old guitar
For all it's worth.

Grateful for my solitude
As I spin along with Earth.

It's high noon on Saturday
And I'm alone
As usual.

I hear you, solitude and clear, brother.

"high noon" evokes a lot of different images, the time chosen counter to the usual "Saturday night and I ain't got nobody ". Music, man, spinning along in gratitude. I like.

Very familiar indeed. And excellent work.
