somewhere sun

by Amos Last

somewhere sun
we are reaching for the edge
where shadow melts in bright
or moves across in dance

tonight our hands
are players
to the music of our hearts
learning the dance
our ancestors knew
before there were words
when pleasure led
and pleasure followed

this is music set to moon
the pulse of stars
reflections in the shine
of pleasure in our eyes

Certainly a poem worthy of POTD!

I missed this as POTD, but glad I finally caught up with it. Congrats. Heart warming positive message here. I especially like the imagery and message in that second stanza.

I enjoy the way you manipulate language here away from categorisation and towards expression...
