Future Flight by Clara Mae GregoryTheir future's flight
was seeded by their past-
with earmarked earnings
failing to fend off the foul.
Their duncical destinies took root
as they found themselves grounded
in the Land of the Blind
ruled by a one-eyed king
and his filles de joie of lies.
So they stoled their freedom
on the wailing winds of wisdom,
gliding through the Heaven's light
soothed by nature's lullabyes.
