Beyond The Writing Process by Philip F De Pinto
bang
a gong or
slew o' gongs
and
Be
yond
the writing process
analogous to fish
writers require if not need
a body of water if not bottles of ink
in which to swim and even piss in or articulate other unholy thing
albeit some fish perceive themselves and their quills too
big for such ink or waters to dip in nevertheless
such waters as they can
manuever and do their thing
alongside other fish
is a good if not fortuitous thing
and it was with this intention
that Pose
idon sobbed his heart out
if not conceived water
and called for writers
to swim and
to keep that water holy
but more than holy
so as to keep that water oxygenated
given the exchange and diversity
and even the flapping
of our writing experience
albeit some fish perceive this pond
to be a bit wee
and yet what other venue
than we continue to swim
or sink or dip
in the clarity of our ink
or leap in and expand this pond
Be
yond
the rim
this bang of gong
or slew o' gongs
given us for lack
of other body to flap
in
keep oxygenated
and holy

Posted by George Hoerner on 03/07/13 at 11:58 PM I've heard today that there sharks in those there waters not from where you write. One might be a little nervous about even sticking one's little finger in those waters today. |
Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 03/08/13 at 03:28 PM I'm all for plenty of waters and diving into all swimming words. How lonely it would be with only my words to sustain me. Sound those gongs, Philip!! |
