Haiku forest (Goodbye Dad) by Johnny CrimsonPage me when you're close,
I cannot wait to meet you,
there's so much to say.
*******************************
Apparently not,
said the apple to the tree,
you've thrown me away.
*******************************
I never knew you.
I've hurt so many before.
Do you have any cash?
*******************************
An apple of stone
falls far from the parent tree,
apparently so.
*******************************
Calls from your doctor
in the emergency room
will go unanswered.
*******************************
You are dead to me.
Father tree is falling down,
son digs deep today.
*******************************
I remember when
you were like a god to me,
the fake messiah.
*******************************
He won't last a year.
That's what mom had said to me.
You've stolen my life.
*******************************
Once you had bet me
to walk down the hill of ice,
mom found me in blood.
*******************************
I did what you asked
and never saw a red cent,
I love how you hate.

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 01/19/13 at 02:41 PM Quite effective. I can sense and emathize with the anger, though for different reasons. |
Posted by Carolyn Coville on 02/22/13 at 03:54 AM I'm stunned reading these. Each one hits hard for me, I can only imagine for you. Nicely done. |
