my pool's memories

by Charlie Morgan

the day is already gloomy and i've done
nothing; it's as it should be, eh? C.S.

i'll open the front door and watch
the world crumble. fast or slow?

depends on your cooridinates;

my pool seems happy. but he's
remembering the girls this summer;
the same ones i do. skimpy,tight
and small suits.

i grin; because what can a pool do?
inert water and all; the pool envies me;
i envy his sticky-ness to cling to bodies
of those fair maidens, lithe and spritely
so long hence.

Totally unique take here, Charlie - I had a love affair with swimming when I was young - perhaps, after all, it was the pool. ;)

Titilating images, as seen through the eyes of the pool, and ultimately you the writer, and we the readers. it's as it should be, eh? C.S. LOL! Anybody I know?
