Remnants Of Sandy by Joan Serratellijust wrote an Epic piece
on Sandy- the storm
that has made my life
MORE of a bad joke
than it already is
UNREAL-
I cannot get to my Dr’s
I rescheduled the already
rescheduled appoinment
….and G-d only knows
IF I’ll be able to get there
I LOVE it!
CLIMATE CHANGE?
A myth you say
Where do you live?
I’m in NJ
in a disaster area
I’m trapped
I cannot go to get
Medication
because the Transportation
company cannot get gas
No-one called me
I LOOTHE pity
I HATE to ”play victim’
I ain’t playing;
I am a causality
of Sandy’s
Will I ever
leave this house again?
Transportation
would even take my reservatiion
for Tuesday
If I could
I would walk
the 36 miles
I do not remember
the last time
I felt like this
HOPELESS
SANDY
The Storm
that keeps
on giving 11/02/2012 Author's Note: Will I ever get out of here? Will I EVER get to the Dr's? Stay tuned to this station; for the continuing "Story Of Me"

| Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 11/03/12 at 02:28 PM It doesn't get more real than this, does it? I hope wheels start moving soon, Joan. Stay safe. |
| Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 11/06/12 at 12:58 AM Who in their right mind doesn't love NY and New Jersey? My heart goes out to you in your plight, as there I go but for the grace of God. We were lucky in Ottawa, as by the time Sandy hit here its power was greatly diminished. But there's always next time. Yes, please keep us posted as to how things progress. A prayer for you. {HUGS} |
