I have written between 0-1000 poems in my life Some good Some bad some happy most sad I write from my heart It’s a hobby Maybe I’m an autistic savant They just come to me Give me some paper give me a computer I’ll write a poem ~or not~ I am who I am I won’t change too old too set in my ways Read it Don’t read it don’t care BUT NEVER EVER TELL ME IT’S NOT MY WORDS

Reminds me of a poem I wrote a long time ago declaring that I would write 1000 poems before my days were numbered. haha

Nicely captures the romance and challenges of being a poet. I too once pledged to write a thousand poems before this life is through. If I haven't already passed that, then I'm pretty darn close. Thanks for the well worded reminder, Joan. :)
