Angels are Everywhere

by Kerowyn Rose

There she was...
mesmerized
by a kaleidoscope
of colors;
brain-looping
‘round a
hula-hoop of
dreams,
when an angel,
with singed feathers
pulled her from her knees,
wide eyed &
heaven bent on
resetting her
on the path to
a destiny she didn’t
feel strong enough to face.
“Why are you here?”
Her annoyance not
nearly concealed.
“You keep getting lost.”
He replied, then
rubbed her arms
& walked with her
until she found
confidence of her own
to wake up & go on living.

This I like very much...while the "encounter" is grand, I get the sense that this person while yet lost, was the type worth saving. And that's comforting. Nice. Thank you.

I think it's only human to be sidetracked by the kaleidoscope colors every now and again. Our angels signed up to correct our ADD tendencies. Oooooh, shiny object...*toddles off* :)))

Really a fine flow to this piece. I especially like the "singed feathers" and how this phrasing is put together - "brain-looping ‘round a hula-hoop of dreams,". Thank you!
