winter whispers by Maria Massarellasnow-laden branches
silhouette the nightscape -
misty moon retreats
beyond the visible
a sense of impotence
aches my heart watching
you lapidated by another
multitude of flakes
frozen to stillness you
neither sway nor bend -
surrender to the elements
with dignity and grace
reverence tweaks my silence
to wordflow – to tell that
on observing your winterness
I found a whispering spring
*
in the light of your sagacity
the utmost sense of impotence
sheds its veils – opens
to realms of possibilities

the snow is currently in its melting process...
from notes of when my world was a fortress
immersed in walls of white

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 03/06/12 at 01:27 AM I love a winter landscape and you give it your own special elegance that paints an endearing window pane. |
