The Lord's Menu

by Chris Sorrenti

Our chef who art in Heaven
hallowed be Thy grill
when Thy restaurant come
may Thy cooking be as fun
up there as it is down here

And give us this day
our daily grease
forgive us our indulgences:
bacon and eggs
hot dogs / cheese burgers
may the Colonel
have finally shared with you
his secret recipe

As we forgive those vegetarians
so they may treat us
to their french fries and onion rings
and lead us not into temptation
of gross low cal’ health food
but deliver us from evil
of running out of MSG
for our barbecued steak
buttered mushrooms

For Thine is the ketchup
salt n’ vinegar
forever and ever
amayo’

Love this, Chris. Without a sense of humor, what's the point? Amayo.

This is cute Chris and if he doesn't have a sense of humor then I'm not going anywhere near him.

I've often said my favorite thing about the Lord is His sense of humor. You've never really been "got" til God gets ya with a great poke in the ribs. I often thank Him for creating me a gentile so I could enjoy bacon guilt free. I really like this one!
