Brilliant, but not Burnt by Alison McKenzie
Gold threads driven,
Plunged deep into tissue,
Stretched taut,
But not torn;
Lit brilliant,
But not burnt;
Seeping life’s essence
In all directions,
But not scattered;
Mended and stitched,
But not broken.
This is the strength
In a heart
Rendered in love;
For which the sheet music
Continues without end. 02/05/2012 Author's Note: I've been working with fractals lately, and this one took about 3 hours to finish.

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 02/05/12 at 07:55 PM I like how the different opposites balance one another out. Another strong spiritual piece; excellently appropriate artwork also. |

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 02/06/12 at 01:24 AM The coolest thing about your fractals is seeing how your artistic soul comes through in another medium besides poetry. |
