in sight by Elizabeth Jill
some days
I look at my hands
and wonder
is there any way to
switch the right for the left
the left for the right
some days
my feet trip over nothing at all
yet my hands still catch me
and write all the wrongs

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 01/24/12 at 06:06 PM how beautiful can a ode get? and I would have you know, that I wouldn't have either hand switching places, not for the world. no, not when such beauty is the result of hands remaining virtuous to where they have always operated from, which is and ere shall be from your heart. the world is e'er profiting from your hands in concert with your heart. I don't know which hand is responsible for this, left of right, but thank that hand for me, won't you, Jilly? |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 03/05/12 at 01:55 PM I love this ode. I repeat, I love this ode. Why do I love this ode? I repeat, why do I love this ode? Cause Jilly wrote it and that is reason enough for Philly. It shouldn't come as any surprise that anything Jilly pens is from the heart, and anyone who has eyes fortunate enough to gaze upon such a prize as is her precious heart and poesie will come away as astounded by them as I am. |
