i miss Jimmy Buffett
by Charlie Morganmy daughter wrapped me in
her West Nashville Ballroom Gown;
been packaged for near 40 years.
and then i sent her a steel-toed boot of
Livingston's, he'd gone to Texas. both
trying to be cowboys. reading departure signs.
returning in a few days was Mother Ocean.
and a Pirate who looked 40, going to Miami;
each choosing a latitude and attitude; for
what lay ahead for each-who were going insane.
if it suddenly ends tomorrow,
we could somehow adjust to it all.
